So, I have to admit, I am stressing out a little here. March is in less than a week and I am not sure how I am going to really do this...3 kids? I am wondering if any of you have some good advice when it comes to having 3 small children, one of them being a newborn. I don't have any family close by...so, relying on family is out. I have a few really nice neighbors, but they all have their own families to take care of and it is really hard to call on anyone else but family in my mind. My mom will be coming for just a few days when i have the baby to help, but she works for the school district and can't get very much time off. Flavio will stay home as long as he can as well, but his position is such that he can't be away too long.... Now I am not trying to have a pity party, although some days I do, but I will really be on my own soon after having this baby and want to know how to handle 3 in such a way that I don't turn into a crazy, scary mommy :)
Please let me know your thoughts.
Lots of love,
Niki
You just do the best you can do and that is all that matters.. I have found that since having my little guy, which made 3 for me, my house is a little more messy all the time and the nitty gritty things get put on the back burner and that is ok. some days it can sure get a little crazy around here that is for sure and some nights I do go to bed and feel like I was the worst mom for that day but luckily there is always tomorrow and that means a new day so my advice is just do the best you can and that is all you can do! You will do great!
ReplyDeleteBasically- "Don't sweat the small stuff"
ReplyDeleteIf no one gets dressed until noon, that is okay. If you have cereal for dinner, that is okay too. My kids were about the same age as yours when I had Abby. You just do what you can. You will make it through just fine :)
Niki you will do great. You use your older ones to help with the babies. And it will surprise you how easily you will be able to handle it. We've never had family around so even with 5 under 7 life was crazy but totally DO-ABLE!
ReplyDeleteDon't be afraid to turn on the TV ;) That is my advice!!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! I am getting excited!
